This was my comment at a writer's conference I was
asked to speak at. I recall being
asked (at a moment's notice), to sit on a discussion board with
several large publishers. My invitation was
directed to everyone but especially to those who had submitted
manuscripts and were now experiencing rejection letters.
Everyone
laughed, and later that evening a representative of one of these
companies thanked me and agreed that there was a need for what we
were doing because she
knew almost all of the submissions were not
going to get published.
